40th Annual General Meeting will be held in person on Saturday 19th October at Market Hill Rooms, Fish Hill, Royston SG8 9JL (junction with Market Hill). There are multiple car parks in Royston, but the Civic Centre car park allows longer parking and is about 400m from the Market Hill rooms.
In the morning, members can attend a private guided tour of Royston Caves. This tour will be free to members who have reserved their place by contacting our Publicity Officer, as soon as possible. Why not join now – annual membership is cheaper than the normal cave visit charges!
The AGM in the afternoon will be preceded by a talk entitled “Why Old Paths Matter” – A talk by archaeologist and anthropologist, Mary-Ann Ochota at 2pm.
Mary-Ann Ochota is a well-known and widely respected British broadcaster who specialises in anthropology, archaeology, and social history. A Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, she has been on numerous radio and TV programmes over the years as well as writing books and articles on her specialist subjects.
