Pace are organising a charity BIG walk on 10th May. They have various length walks with the longest walk using the Icknield Way from Dunstable to Ivinghoe Beacon before joining the Ridgeway to Wendover. The shorter walks are from points on the Ridgeway to Wendover.
Since 1990, Pace has been changing the lives of children with neurodisabilities. The unique Pace approach puts your child and family at the heart of everything we do. We run a therapy centre, as well as a specialist school in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, and provide online resources and support.
Pace has chosen a new route for this year which includes 4 BIG distance options for participants to choose from. Your choice of routes are:
- 18 miles – Dunstable to Wendover
- 12 miles – Ivinghoe to Wendover
- 6 miles – Wiggington to Wendover
- Superhero mile – John Colet School
The 18 mile route will begin by following the Icknield Way Path before joining The Ridgeway National Trail for the length of the 12 and 6 mile routes (£20 per adult, £10 per child entry). Well behaved dogs are welcome. Coaches will transport walkers from Wendover to the various start points.
Full details of the arrangements and how to register are on the Pace website. We wish them every success.
Taking part in The BIG Walk isn’t just a chance for you to enjoy a lovely day out with your family and friends, but an opportunity for you to support Pace in providing its amazing services to children and young people with neurodisabilities like cerebral palsy. We encourage you to get all your loved ones involved too, whether that’s getting them to sign up as well or running your own fundraiser for them to sponsor you!
